NEWS RELEASE DEREK HUMBLE WANTED FOR MURDER OF VICTOR BLUE; HPD ASKING WITNESS TO COME FORWARD. (Hartford) - The Hartford Police Department Major Crimes Division has secured an arrest warrant for Derek Humble, (DOB 5/12/82), last known addresses of 248 Silver Lane, East Hartford, and 173 Westland Street, Second Floor, Hartford, wanted as a suspect in the March 24, 2004 shooting death of Victor Blue, at 197 Westland Street, Hartford. As part of the ongoing investigation, the Hartford Police Major Crimes Division is making a public plea for a witness that made a 911 call from inside Melissa Market at the time of the incident, to contact Hartford Police Major Crimes Division Detective Andrew S. Weaver at 527-6300, extension 5219. The HPD guarantees all information will be kept in the strictest confidence. Humble is wanted for Murder, Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm, and Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit. The weapon, a 9 mm handgun, used in this shooting has not been recovered. Humble's bond has been set at Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000). Contact: Nancy
