HPD ARREST MALE CAUGHT EXPOSING HIMSELF.

(Hartford) - On Friday, March 26, 2004, at approximately 11:00 a.m., after an undercover surveillance operation launched by the Hartford Police Department Central District, HPD Detectives arrested a man accused of exposing himself to a female in the area of Columbus Boulevard on March 24, 2004.  Arrested and charged with Public Indecency, Criminal Attempt to Commit Unlawful Restraint in the Second Degree, and Breach of Peace in the Second Degree was Pietro Panajia, DOB 7-27-81, of 72 Hampshire Drive, Glastonbury, Connecticut.

On March 24, 2004, Hartford Police received a report of a male attempting to lure a female victim to him while in his vehicle, a newer model silver Honda, wherein he exposed himself to the female.  Upon receive of the complaint, Hartford Police launched an undercover surveillance in the area, which resulted in the arrest of the perpetrator today.   Hartford Police Detectives spotted the accused in his vehicle where upon he was promptly arrested.

In commenting on the quick turnaround of the investigation, HPD Central District Commander Captain Michael Fallon stated, "I commend the efforts of our Officers and, particularly, the cooperation of the witnesses and victims which contributed enormously to this significant arrest, removing a potentially dangerous individual from our streets."
