NEWS RELEASE Hartford Police Youth Services Division Makes Arrest in Sexual Assault Case Involving a Minor. (Hartford) - Prompted by a complaint by a 15 year old female juvenile of a sexual assault incident which occurred while the victim was attending a private day care at 25 Orange Street, Hartford, between 2000 and 2001, a three month investigation of the complaint by the Hartford Police Department's Youth Services Division has led to the arrest of Brian "Geraldo" Grijalva, DOB 6/30/68, of 62 South Whitney Street, Hartford. Grijalva is charged with Sexual Assault in the First Degree and Risk of Injury to a Minor. He is currently in Hartford Police custody on $100,000 bond. Sergeant Steven DiBella, Commander of Youth Services, is asking anyone in the community that may have had contact with Grijalva, or the day care which operated out of 25 Orange Street during the years 2000 and 2001, to contact him at HPD's Youth Services Division at (860) 527-7300, extension 5254. "All information will be kept in the strictest of confidence," stated Sergeant DiBella. "If there are any other victims out there, we need to know so that we can insure that justice is served."
