NEWS RELEASE HARTFORD POLICE RECRUIT CLASS TO BEGIN TRAINING FEBRUARY 17, 2004
(Hartford) - Hartford Police Acting Chief Mark Pawlina today announced a new class of Police Recruits will begin their training with the Hartford Police Academy on February 17, 2004. The estimated 40 plus class of recruits have already passed an extensive screening process over the past three to six months which included psychological testing, medical exams, physical agility endurance, background investigations, and a polygraph test. The new Police Recruits now face approximately six (6) months of training at the Hartford Police Academy, followed by twelve (12) weeks of Field Officer Training, and one year of probation. Police Department Command staff will address the new recruits on departmental expectations February 17, 2004, at 10:30 a.m., at the Hartford Police Academy, 101 Pearl Street, Hartford.
