HARTFORD POLICE INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN ARREST OF ROLANDO ROBLES ON KIDNAPPING AND SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES.

(Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Juvenile Investigative Division have arrested Rolando Robles, DOB 8/6/1987, of 907 Park Street, Hartford, in connection with an early morning incident last Thursday, December 15, 2005, wherein he attempted to kidnap and sexually assault a female student on her way to school in the area of Park Terrace in Hartford. 

Since Thursday, Detectives of the HPD's Juvenile Investigative Division have conducted several undercover details in the Park Terrace, Capitol Avenue and Laurel Street areas, in an attempt to capture Robles.  This morning Hartford Police received information that Robles was in the area.  He was stopped by Hartford Police and positively identified by the December 15th victim.

Robles has been charged by Hartford Police with kidnapping in the first degree and sexual assault in the third degree.  He remains in police custody pending arraignment on $500,000 bond.

Subsequent incidents involving three other female victims occurred in the same area on Friday, December 16, Monday, December 19 and Tuesday, December 20.  Hartford Police are continuing their  investigation to determine Robles' possible connection to those incidents and expect more charges to be forthcoming.
