MURDER SUSPECT SURRENDERS TO HARTFORD POLICE

(Hartford) - On Monday, February 2, 2004, Myrna Rodriquez, DOB 1/16/82, turned herself in to the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division, at 50 Jennings Road, Hartford, for an outstanding arrest warrant charging her with Murder, Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit, and Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm.  The charged stem from the June 2, 2003 murder of Yahaira Rivera which occurred near 571 Maple Avenue, Hartford. 

At the time of her surrender, Rodriquez informed HPD Detectives that she was nine (9) months pregnant and in labor, whereupon she was immediately transported to Hartford Hospital via ambulance and admitted into hospital care under police guard.
