NEWS RELEASE HARTFORD POLICE SEIZE 1/2 KILO OF CRACK-COCAINE AND LOADED GLOCK 17 9 MM HANDGUN. (Hartford) - Police Chief Patrick J. Harnett today announced Hartford Police Vice and Narcotics detectives, in coordination with federal DEA agents, conducted an investigation into upper level crack-cocaine sales and distribution throughout the city of Hartford which has resulted in the seizure of more than $15,000 in crack-cocaine and seizure of a loaded, stolen handgun. As a result of the investigation detectives seized one-half a kilo of crack-cocaine with a street value estimated at over $15,000, approximately $700.00 in U.S. Currency, and a loaded Glock 17 9mm handgun. The Glock 17 9mm handgun was reported stolen from Fayetteville, North Carolina. Arrested at 37 Sumner Street, Hartford and charged with Possession of Narcotics, Possession With Intent to Sell (PWITS), PWITS of Narcotics within 1,500 feet of a School, Possession of a Pistol Without a Permit, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm were Ricardo Fletcher, DOB 5/17/77, of Springfield, Massachusetts, and Walter Robinson, DOB 2/14/82, of 12 Pershing Street, Hartford. Both remain in police custody on $100,000 pending arraignment today in Hartford Superior Court.
