HPD YOUTH SERVICES DIVISION MAKES ARREST IN SEXUAL ASSAULT CASE.

(Hartford) - Recently, Detectives from the Hartford Police Department's Youth and Family Services Division completed a lengthy investigation into a 1999 sexual assault complaint. During this investigation, it was discovered that John A. Tabone, (then, age 32) of Hartford, was suspected of sexually assaulting a then six (6) year old female relative.

On February 17, 2004, an arrest warrant was signed charging John A. Tabone with two (2) counts of Sexual Assault in the First Degree and three (3) counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor. During the investigation Detectives learned that Tabone was and still reamins incarcerated on unrelated charges as well as the new charges..

On February 25, 2004 the Hartford Police Department arrest warrant was executed on Tabone for the above listed charges by the Hartford Police Warrant Division.
