HPD MAKES THREE ARRESTS IN CONNECTION WITH EARLY MORNING STABBING INCIDENT.

(Hartford) - On February 9, 2004, at approximately 0746 hours, the Hartford Police Department's Patrol Division responded to Weaver High School on a reported large fight and stabbing. Upon arrival three male victims (all students), ages 15, 16 and 17 were located each with stab wounds. Numerous witnesses were located on the scene, as well as two suspects (both students, age 15). The three victims were transported to St. Francis Hospital and later determined to be in stable condition.

Of the arrests made, charges ranged from Breach of Peace 2nd, Assault in the First Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds.

Names of the Victims and those arrested are being withheld at this time pending further investigation

After conducting an investigation into the incident, Detectives from the Youth and Family Services Division, in conjunction with the School Resource Officer, Major Crimes and Evidentiary Services Divisions made arrests of three males, two age 15, and one age 17. The investigation is still ongoing with the potential for more arrests. Anyone with information is asked to Contact Detective Francis Dubose-Watson at 527-7300 ext. 5234.
