Hartford Police Charge Sex Offender.

(Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Juvenile Investigative Division have charged Scott Matthew Murtagh, DOB 8/4/1970, LKA 34 Huyshope Avenue, with breach of peace and possession of child pornography following an incident yesterday at the Hartford Public Library, 500 Main Street, Hartford.

Murtagh, a registered sex offender on federal probation, was reported to Hartford police by Library staff on Tuesday afternoon  as having utilized a computer work station at the Library to access child pornography.  Murtagh, whose photo is below, remains in custody on $100,000.
