HARTFORD POLICE CHIEF DARYL K. ROBERTS
PROMOTES FIVE TO THE RANK OF DETECTIVE


(Hartford) - At an informal ceremony held this morning at Hartford Police Headquarters, Hartford Police Chief Daryl K. Roberts promoted five veteran Hartford police officers to the rank of detective.  The following are the new detectives and their assignments:

  1. Officer John P. Miller, III.  A eleven year veteran of HPD, Detective Miller will be assigned to the Major Crimes Division.
     
  2. Officer Joseph Fargnoli, Jr.  A nine year veteran, Detective Fargnoli, will be assigned to the Vice and Narcotics Division. 
     
  3. Officer Rebecca O'Shea.  A four year veteran, Detective O'Shea will be assigned to the Crime Scene Division.
     
  4. Officer Michael Coates.  A four year veteran, Detective Coates will be assigned to the Major Crimes Division.
     
  5. Detective Ivys Jimenez, a three year veteran, will be assigned to the Juvenile Investigative Division.

"The promotions are effective Sunday, September 23, 2007, as they are needed in the various divisions to which they have been assigned," said Chief Daryl K. Roberts.  "As I anticipate additional promotions within the next month, a formal reception with family and friends will be held at that time."
