HARTFORD POLICE MAKE ARREST
IN STABBING INCIDENT

(Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have arrested Mayra Rodriguez, 38, of 217 Wethersfield Avenue, Hartford, charging her with assault in the first degree in connection with the May 14th stabbing of Gilberto Sanchez, 59, of the same address. 

On May 14th, at approximately 1:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of a party stabbed at 217 Wethersfield Avenue.  On arrival officers located the victim, Sanchez, lying on the apartment floor suffering from a wound to the groin area.  Sanchez was immediately transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment. 

Rodriguez, described as an Hispanic female, 5'3", 150 lbs, remains in custody on a $50,000 bond pending arraignment in Hartford Superior Court.
