HARTFORD  POLICE ARREST TWO IN CONNECTION WITH EARLY MORNING SHOOTING


(Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crime Division have charged two individuals in connection with an early morning shooting at 128 Bond Street that led to a pursuit into West Hartford and their subsequent apprehension on Avon Mountain. 

Charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license, disobeying a police officer, reckless driving, disobeying a signal of a police officer, unlawful discharge of a gun, assault in the first degree, criminal possession of a firearm, and two counts of robbery in the first degree is George Hemmingway, 18, of 675 Garden Street, Hartford.  Hemmingway, described as a Black male, 5'2", 155 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes, remains in custody on $1 million bond pending arraignment in Hartford Superior Court.  Hemmingway was arrested by Hartford police on April 14, 2008 for violation of probation.

Charged with two counts of robbery in the first degree and interfering with police is Eric Guy, 18, of 116 Colby Street, Hartford.  Guy, described as a Black male, 5'8", 150 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes, remains in custody on $100,500 bond pending arraignment in Hartford Superior Court.
