Hartford Police Vice Squad Makes Arrests.

            (Hartford) – On Wednesday, October 15, 2003, the detectives from the Hartford Police Department Vice Squad, along with officers from the South District, conducted an undercover detail targeting prostitution in the areas of Dutch Point, Broad and New Britain Avenue.  There areas are well known hot spots for street level prostitution.

            A total of five (5) females were arrested and charged with prostitution:

            Mirian Figueroa, 2/27/65 of No Certain Address (NCA)

            Alison Lee, 21-9-71, of NCA

Chimene Dominques, 5-4-70, 555 Wethersfield Avenue, Hartford

Peggy Amareto, l7-22-69, 359 New Park Avenue, Hartford

Yuette Castillo, 9-11-66, of NCA

            Also arrested for patronizing a prostitute was Henry Spieski, 3/31/35, of 23 Trading Cove Circle, Norwich, Connecticut.

            Alison Lee was also served with an arrest warrant from the Berlin Police Department.

            In remarking on the 4 p.m. undercover detail, Sergeant Franco Sanzo, Supervisor of the HPD Vice Squad stated, “The Vice Squad will continue to monitor these areas and take appropriate action.  This was a good job by all.”
