HPD PATROL DIVISION CAPTURES MICHAEL KENDALL (Hartford) - At approximately 4:30 p.m. today, Monday, January 12, 2004, Officers of the Hartford Police Department's Patrol Division apprehended fugitive Michael Kendall, wanted by East Hartford Police for murder and arson. HPD Patrol Officers Michael Allen and Robert Lawlor were flagged down by a citizen with information on the whereabouts of Kendall. Acting immediately, the Officers responded to the location of 900 Asylum Avenue where Kendall, after a brief struggle, was handcuffed and taken into police custody. Officers Allen and Lawlor also seizzed a 4 inch blue Colt Python gun during incident. Kendall is wanted by East Hartford Police for Two (2) Counts of Capital Felony Murder, Three (3) Counts of Murder, and One Count of Arson. East Hartford Police have been notified of Kendall's apprehensive by Hartford Police. At this writing, Kendall was being transported to the Hartford Police Department Major Crimes Division. End.
