Operation Auto Theft Results
in Two Arrests and Recovery of Stolen Vehicles
(Hartford) – On September 24, 2003, the Hartford Police
Department’s Community Response Division (CRD), along with Community
Service Officers (CSOs) and members of the Connecticut Regional Auto
Theft Task Force conducted a joint auto theft operation which
resulted in the arrest of two individuals, the recovery of five (5)
stolen vehicle, and the issuance of four (4) Misdemeanor Summons.
Arrested and charged with Larceny in the 2nd
Degree and Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License was Joshua
Johnson (DOB 1/14/87) of 453 Albany Avenue, Hartford. Also arrested
was “John Doe” (identity unconfirmed) of no certain address, charged
with Larceny in the 2nd Degree and Interfering with
Police.
The vehicles recovered include a 1990 Toyota Camry, 1996
Ford Taurus, 1996 Pontiac Grand Am, 1998 Nissan 240 SX, and a 1995
Mitsubishi Mirage.
The Hartford Police Department commends CRD Operations,
CSO personnel and the Regional Auto Theft Task Force for this most
successful operation.
